summer learning journey

chocolate cheesecake🌸

      ingredients

  18 Oreo cookies finely crushed about 1- ½ cups
3 pkg. (8 oz. each) of cream cheese, softened
1 tsp vanilla
3 eggs
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
1 cup sugar
 2 pkg. (4 oz. each)Chocolate, broken into pieces, melted and cooled    
1-1/2 cups sliced fresh strawberries  
   
                  

                                                       method

  1. Heat oven to 325°F
  2. Combine cookie crumbs and butter; press onto bottom of 9-inch springform pan. Bake 10 min.
  3. Beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla in large bowl with mixer until blended. Add chocolate; mix well. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing on low speed after each just until blended. Pour over crust.
  4. Bake 45 to 55 min. or until centre is almost set. Run knife around rim of pan to loosen cake; cool before removing rim.
  5. Refrigerate cheesecake 4 hours. Top with strawberries just before serving.

                 Note
If using a dark nonstick 9-inch springform pan, reduce oven temperature to 300°F.

    Thank you for sharing the recipe to what looks like a very rich and sweet desert! Did you find this recipe online? If you did, it would be good if you credit where you got the recipe from, some of your readers might like to find more delicious recipes like this one. :)

    Have you ever used this recipe before? It may be a little difficult to work with ounces (if you don't have a kitchen scale) because in New Zealand we use grams instead. Maybe you could add some pictures some time when you make this chocolate cheesecake at home. I wonder if it'll turn out looking exactly like the one in the picture.

    There are too many delicious foods in the world to pick only one! I love sushi and dumplings, they’re both easy to make and very filling! My family and I like to make all sorts of variations with our own fillings. Pork, cabbage and carrot dumpling with soy and hot chilli sauce is my favourite type of dumpling. Have you tried dumplings before?
