Des hunt the author came to visit our school last week.He told us tips on writing books,his family and culture,his first books and even some people got to do some workshops with him when the other kids were in class[the kids included me!]

For enquiry this week we have been studying about an animal that we have chose.I have chose the dotterel. We had to do a part whole map [the one shown here] and we also did a map[ the article shown underneath this article]

For inquiry we had to make a map that shows the diet,habitat,air and breeding population of the animal you chose on a graph.My one was the dotterel, there are heaps of fun facts about the dotterel and here are some!

For maths this week we  had to measure some rooms given by our teacher,then we had to measure them.(1 cm =1 meter)then we had to recreate the rooms on our  chromebook.this took me about 3 sessions to finish.hope you like it!

For reading this week we had to do a character description on a slide about a book called "skink gully". We had to pick from 5 characters and I chose the otago skinks. It was des hunt who wrote the book.
This took me a very short time to make.
