tane mahuta visit
I would like to visit tane mahuta the endemic tree because is sounds fascinating, also I would like to see the tree in real life, towering over my head majestically, and dwarfing all the visitors. It seems to be a real natural wonder that should be really exiting to visit!
Kia ora Ama,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, I would love to visit Tane Mahuta to see how tall and wide the tree is. I absolutely love how you described the way the tree would make all his visitors look like dwarfs. I read on the Atlas Obsura website, that Tane Mahuta stands a whooping 51 metres tall. This is approximately 10 single story houses high. I cannot imagine how tall that would look if I was standing at the bottom.
I read on the Department of Conservation website that according to Maori legends, Tane Mahuta is known as the son of Papatuanuku (the earth mother) and Ranginui (the sky father). This is why the beautiful tree is so tall because it is reaching up to his father.
Keep up the incredible work, Ama. I cannot wait to see more posts from you, I hope!
Nga mihi,
Megan :)
